EHR Application Analyst, Sr. plans, analyzes, designs and modifies EHR (electronic health record) software applications, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support the implementation of one or more software modules. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Being an EHR Application Analyst, Sr. may be expected to write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, EHR Application Analyst, Sr. requires EPIC Certification in one or more dedicated modules, such as Scheduling, Emergency Room, Patient Registration, or other medical specialty. The Clinical Application Analyst serves as the organization’s primary subject matter expert on the application that they support (i.e., Allscripts Touchworks). This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining software applications that the organization acquires and utilizes. They also need to perform troubleshooting, training, and optimization of existing applications. The Clinical Application Analyst provides basic support and training to Springfield Clinic providers, clinicians, and operations staff.
This position requires the ability to explain applications and its underlying technology to diverse end-users, develop structured training plans, and ensure they can use the application and its functionality effectively in accomplishing the user’s workflows.
