EHR Application Analyst, Sr. jobs in Virginia Beach, VA

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

Senior Options, EHR Systems Analyst is a key member of the Health Information Technology team.  Will perform a key role in EMR the planning and implementation of EMR systems across the Senior Options Network. This role will maintain expertise in the EMR and related systems in use at Senior Options, and use that knowledge to assist with changes to the systems and to troubleshoot problems with the current systems as well as manage upgrades.  The EHR Systems Analyst will provide end user training on new and existing features and help end users successfully use the Senior Options IT systems.

• Maintains expert knowledge in existing and future HIT systems being used at Senior Options.
• Leads changes to EMRs and related systems through planning and project management.
• Organizes and assists in training partners on all aspects of the existing and new EMR and related systems.
• In conjunction with other Senior Options HIT staff, provides support to users reporting issues or needs with IT systems.
• Proactively educates themselves on upcoming software changes and upgrades, and helps to educate other staff and partners on changes.
• Documents system changes, educational materials, processes and technical solutions in a central location.
• Develops to understand verbal and written communications with attention given to feelings, opinions, and attitudes of others.
• Provides support to the Senior Options service desk.
• Answers inquiries; i.e., email, calls, texts and voicemail appropriately and in a timely manner according to the SO expectations.
• All other duties as assigned. 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Possesses a Bachelor’s Degree, or a Master's Degree, in a field including, but not limited to health information, management, nursing, social work or public health.
• Possesses a minimum of three years’ experience in IT, with experience in healthcare preferred.
• Possesses a valid driver’s license and automobile in good working condition.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

This function is generally performed in an Office environment. Performs some repetitive PC functions.
