Utility Partners of America (UPA) is seeking highly motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join its team. We will be exchanging utility meters in the Charleston, SC and surrounding areas. Previous experience in meter installation /utility work is not required but is certainly preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Must consent to a drug test, background check and motor vehicle records check
· Be a safe, responsible driver.
· Must be able to lift 40lbs and be able to walk long distances throughout the day.
· Must be able to work with handheld electronic devices, such as Smart Phones and be able to work outdoors.
· Must be hardworking and reliable.
· Must be courteous and polite and can consistently follow company policies and standard operating procedures.
· Must have the ability to use of basic hand tools.
· Must have the ability to communicate effectively and positively interact with both your colleagues and UPA’s customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Safely and efficiently upgrade utility meters.
· Follow standard operating procedures and company policies.
· Read utility meters and record information accurately.
· Communicate with utility customers effectively.
· Drive company supplied work vehicle safely.
· Receive and return utility meters, tools, equipment, and supplies.
