Electric Meter Installer and Repairer jobs in Naperville, IL

Position Description:

The Plumber Installer is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal.

• Work under the supervision of a licensed plumber.
• Perform routine maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations.
• Performs preventative maintenance work as required.
• Inspect joints, valves, pumps, water heaters, sinks, toilets, faucets, pumps, and other plumbing system components to locate malfunctions and repairs or replaces when necessary.
• Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers and water heaters, and fixtures such as sinks and toilets, using hand and power tools.
• Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, using hand and power tools.
• Adhere to current rules and regulations related to plumbing so that systems pass inspection the first time.
• Keep records and produce detailed timesheets.
• Train apprentices in workmanship and code.
• Provide excellent customer service to build lifelong relationships with customers.

Position Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in plumbing

Physical Requirements

• Physical dexterity to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to continually walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, reach in all directions.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and/or move heavy objects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $46.00 per hour
