Job Summary:
• Work under the supervision of a Senior Electrical Engineer and collaboratively with other engineering disciplines, designers, and technicians to produce designs for power distribution systems, instrumentation, control systems, industrial networks, telemetry, lighting, and generator systems.
Essential Duties:
• Participate as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce electrical design and construction drawings and specifications.
• Create designs for electrical equipment, power and control systems, with knowledge of PLC’s, programming, wiring schematics, ladder logic, and industrial network architecture.
• Communicate and coordinate technical evaluations and designs, technical writing of reports, and correspondence.
• Interact and work directly with clients, conduct preliminary evaluations, and prepare various reports.
• Be responsible for completing electrical engineering design tasks within the project budget and schedule.
• Provide bidding and construction related services and review of equipment supplier submittals.
• Perform startup and commissioning field services for electrical systems.
• Develop good understanding and stay current with the National Electric Code and other electrical design standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Minimum of five to ten years’ electrical engineering experience required.
• Must possess a Florida professional engineering license or be able to acquire it within 6 months.
• A valid Florida driver’s license and an excellent driving record are essential.
• Required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
