Electrical Engineer jobs in Duluth, MN

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team!  The Electrical Engineer will work directly within the engineering department as well as being a critical part in completing subject related tasks and providing technical knowledge to the team.  This will include, but not be limited to solving challenging technical problems, seeking potential areas of growth, and development of proposals.

Responsibilities:

• Research, develop, design, and test electrical/control systems, components, and equipment
• Analyze and interpret complex data
• Prepares and presents advanced technical reports and presentations to client
• Conducts and/or completes technical tasks or major phases of technical projects
• Provides technical direction to and coordinates the efforts of less experienced engineers and software developers
• Design of complex electrical and control systems that are vehicle, ship, or aircraft integrated
• Prepares engineering drawings, schematics, control algorithms, and software code
• Recommends modifications and corrections in technical analyses, designs, code, and control algorithms to ensure project success
• Provide insight to Project Leaders on technical path, milestones, and component level budgets

​​Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, organizational and problem-solving skills, understanding of technical documentation and standards- drawings, specs. etc.
• Experience with the common circuit simulation tools such as LTSpice is a plus.
• Working knowledge of programming in Python, embedded C, and C , is a plus
• Working knowledge of Altium PCB design tools
• Experience with mixed signal PCBA design/development processes targeted at automotive and/or military applications
• Familiarity with CAD or other related software (SolidWorks and Creo)
• Familiarity working within multidisciplinary manufacturing environment
• Strong professional relationship building skills, and ability to interface across the entire company
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
