Being an Electrical Engineer performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved. Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products. Additionally, Electrical Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Electrical Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Immediate need for an experienced Electrical Engineer in the Northern NJ area for a well established, national MEP firm focusing on Commercial, Institutional, Healthcare and S&T projects throughout the country. Significant backlog of booked projects with a numerous new work being won. This is an immediate need.
Responsibilities:
- Power Distribution and Lighting design for a variety of building types: Commercial, Institutional, Healthcare, Laboratory or Government/Federal facilities.
- Perform construction administration tasks (site visits, submittal reviews, RFI’s, field changes).
- Strong familiarity with NEC and/or local code design criteria.
- Assess and modify existing power distribution systems.
- Track project time lines to complete tasks on schedule.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering or Bachelor of Architectural Engineering.
- EIT or PE license highly preferred.
- 6 years of relevant experience within an MEP design engineering setting.
- Strong Revit capabilities.
