The potential candidate (designer) will be working on Electric Schematics and Construction related projects within client s Transmission Engineering group. However, most of the interaction will be with the CAD design lead and engineers.
The designer will assist in preparation of engineering plan sets, designs, and specifications for construction drawing packages. Experience with CAD drafting such as one-lines, wiring schematics, mechanical detailing, site plans or plan and profile views of electrical equipment and transmission lines is a requirement.
The designer needs to have working knowledge of basic CAD standards and drawing requirements, and principles, to ensure compliance with utility requirements, department standards, and jurisdictional codes.
Drafting is completed by designer utilizing Bentley Microstation. The potential candidate should be well-rounded, have a good attitude, great communication skills, timely, professional, works well in a team environment, works well independently but willing to ask for help when required, willing to learn, and is teachable.
