Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician/ Assembler to join our team. As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating electrical components and systems. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to use various tools and equipment. Pay scale mentioned above, is dependent on experience.
Duties:
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Read and follow instructions from job traveler.
- Main responsibility is soldering wires to terminals, PCB Boards, other wires, etc.
- Assemble electrical components and systems according to specifications
- Mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies and main assemblies
- Test assemblies using a multi- meter measuring resistance
- Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Trouble shoots out of spec products. Reject product outside of specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Perform preventive maintenance on production line equipment.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring techniques
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Familiarity with PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly processes
- Mechanical knowledge for handling mechanical components during assembly
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and wiring
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot electrical issues
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training in electrical assembly is preferred
- 3 years of soldering experience, preferred
- Experience working in electronics, manufacturing or assembly industry
- Experience with measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.) a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
