5 Points Electrical is one of the fastest growing electrical contracting companies in Atlanta, with opportunities for growth. We are seeking experienced electrical estimators with extensive backgrounds in commercial work.

Job Details: Providing estimates for one of the fastest growing electrical contractors in Atlanta. This is a critical position where you will be responsible for reviewing, estimating and preparing electrical quotes and proposals and implementing measures to increase the Company’s effectiveness and efficiency.

Compensation: $100,000

Reporting Relationship(s): Preconstruction Manager

Workplace: Office environment

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing blueprints to determine wire lengths as well as suitable outlet placement based on electrical codes.
• Determining the amount, type, and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical project.
• Determining the amount of labor required to complete each project.
• Determining the potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions.
• Providing viable solutions to increase project profitability.
• Completing and submitting competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines.
• Regularly updating cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labor costs.
• Evaluating labor and material costs to determine whether it is more feasible to construct electrical components or sub-contract the construction of components.

Required Experience and Skills:

· 3 years of electrical experience

· Proficient computer skills

· Proficient knowledge of the NEC and construction safety requirements.

· Skilled at reading and interpreting plans

· Safety Conscious

· Driver's license

Desired Experience and Skills:

· Experience as PM/superintendent/foreman experience on large $1M projects

· Knowledge of prefabrication techniques

· OSHA 10/30

· Knowledge of NFPA 70E

· Journeyman's License

· Experience with Bluebeam
