Electronic Data Interchange Specialist analyzes, designs, and develops specifications for enhancements and extensions with EDI application interfaces and maps. Ensures proper configuration and set-up of the EDI tools and systems that support file transfer between internal and external trading partners. Being an Electronic Data Interchange Specialist coordinates trading partner implementations and conducts EDI testing. Documents processes, data flow, file specifications, and mapping using standard formats. Additionally, Electronic Data Interchange Specialist may require a bachelor's degree. Collects, abstracts, reports, summarizes detailed demographic, historical, outcomes, and cellular therapy data information from a variety of internal and external data sources pertaining to patients receiving cellular therapies through the Cellular Therapy Program according to department protocols. Maintains lifetime follow-up data on each cellular therapy patient. Assists in the development and maintenance of specialized databases to ensure the accuracy of all cellular therapy registry information. Assists in the preparation and submission of periodic and ad hoc reports required by regulatory agencies, third-party payers, physicians, researchers and others as required to meet contractual obligations. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Quality Manager of the Cellular Therapy Program.

EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent or health care related
EXPERIENCE
One to two years of directly related work experiences. Knowledge of oncology hematology and cellular therapy (bone marrow, stem cell, IECs including CAR-T) disease process, anatomy/physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
LICENSURE
MLS/MT (ASCP) certification preferred
SPECIAL SKILLS
Intermediate keyboarding/data entry skills; intermediate skills using Windows-based software (e.g. Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Power Point and Crystal Reports). Experience in using WellSky system, Formsnet3, or other oncology registry software is preferred. Ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills and investigative/analytic skills with detail orientation. Ability to work efficiently and independently in a remote work environment while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team in a virtual setting.

Working knowledge of Office 365, experience reading and interpreting pathology reports, imaging reports, molecular reports, and cytogenetics. Very good understanding of hematology/oncology diseases, able to understand lines of therapy and their responses. Knowledge about Immune Effector Cells Therapy, and Bone Marrow Transplant.Familiar with CIBMTR is a plus.
