Job Summary for Electronics Technician:
Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal and/or written instructions regarding duties to be performed., Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets.
Education and/or Experience of Electronics Technician:
· 2 or 4-year degree in the field of Electronics and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications of Electronics Technician:
· Ability to distinguish electronic components and read resistor color codes.
· Basic soldering training
· Experience in printed circuit board assembly.
· Basic understanding of electrical/electronic theory.
· Basic electrical/electronic trouble shooting skills.
· Ability to use electronic test equipment, multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
· Ability to perform calibration of electronic equipment.
· Basic computer skills
· Knowledge of National Electric Code.
· Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
· Technical Certificate in Electronics Technology. (Desirable)
