**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Development and Communications to lead our organization's development and communication strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all internal and external communications to ensure consistency and clarity in messaging, along with all efforts for donor relationships, culivation, and fundraising.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with the organization's goals
- Manage all aspects of media relations, including writing press releases and coordinating interviews
- Conduct research to stay informed about industry trends and best practices
- Edit and proofread written materials to maintain brand voice and style
- Oversee the creation of content for various platforms, including websites, social media, and publications
-Manage a CRM database and track our donors
-Build relationships with those who support our mission
**Experience:**
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
- Proven experience in a communications role with a focus on strategic planning
- Strong writing skills with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive content
- Excellent public speaking abilities and confidence in representing the organization
- Familiarity with various communication tools and platforms
