Position Summary :
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Employee Health Coordinator (37.5)- Full Time, Days (8AM-4PM varied) - Occupational Health Services.
In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for facilitating the sign-in process according to HIPPA regulations. Assesses the client, (employees, vendors, contracted workers, volunteers, voluntary attendings, rotating residents, students) needs and refers to the appropriate practitioner.
Monitors the flow of clients through the office with observance of confidentiality. Reviews all medical records and determines need for further testing and / or medical clearance for ID badge based on requirements of regulatory agencies, i.
e. CDD, DOH and OSHA. Responsible for all clients computer recordkeeping, performs data entry, and accesses data upon request.
Generates statistical reports for specific committees upon the managers request.
Job Responsibilities :
Coordinates all appointments and maintains computerized appointment calendar for sick calls, vaccines, clearance return to work, pre-employee physical exams, workers comp. evaluations.
Coordinates the departments medical clearance for all contracted companies, schools and vendors, including on site programs.
Reviews all vendor, intern, volunteer and student medical records and issues clearance based on NYSDOH and Hospital regulations / guidelines.
Calculates and formulates Occupation Health Services monthly statistics and blood-borne pathogen exposure statistics for presentation to administration.
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications :
To qualify you must have a High School or GED required. 1-2 years Experience. Excellent communication (both oral and written), detail-oriented, organizational skills.
Able to prioritize tasks. Shift flexibility, ability to work efficiently under pressure. Able to work in a team environment.
Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Familiarity with Epic System
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Prior experience in a healthcare setting
Familiarity with vaccinations and additional New York State Department of Health requirements for Health Care Workers

Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.
The salary range for the role is $43,218.80 - $62,397.40 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses / incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
