Employee Health Services Manager is responsible for managing the employee health service functions of the organization. Administers healthcare program operations and supervises subordinate staff. Being an Employee Health Services Manager ensures that all medical records are kept in a manner compliant with appropriate policies and procedures. May be responsible for administering employee physicals, injury related diagnoses, or other types of referrals according to OSHA regulations. Additionally, Employee Health Services Manager may provide consultation regarding workers' compensation, infection control or other employee health related issues. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. Typically requires a registered nurse. The Employee Health Services Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Employee Health - Employe Health Program Manager

  • This is a full time (0.8 - 1.0 Status), day shift Employee Health Program Manager position in the Employee Health department.

    Demonstrates strong leadership skills in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating activities related to the health and wellness of employees, volunteers and providers. Screens pre-employment candidates and coordinates pre-employment and for-cause drug testing. Oversees Workers’ Compensation program and works collaboratively with the Montana State Fund. Reviews employee injuries and takes action to reduce risk to employees. Manages timecards for employees on leave. Participates in Incident Command for any disaster events including pandemics. Administers vaccines and identifies employees who require testing for immunity. Oversight for CMC Respiratory Protection Plan. Collaborates with CMC Infection Prevention as necessary.

    Minimum Required: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing, BSN required. Licensed in the state of Montana. BLS upon hire. Demonstrated effectiveness in assessment, planning, and implementation in a variety of settings (for example clinical nursing, education/training). Must have minimum of three (3) years Medical/Surgical, Emergency Department, ICU, and/or Public Health experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must possess strong critical thinking skills. Familiarity with regulations/accrediting agencies in the area of Employee Health, Worker’s Compensation, and Safety (OSHA, NIOSH, MT Safety Culture Act, FMLA/ADA reasonable accommodations). Five (5) years Medical/Surgical, Emergency Department, ICU, and/or Public Health experience preferred.

    Preferred/Desired:  BSN Preferred. Prefer Oncology Certification (OCN). Cerner experience preferred.

    Weekend Requirements:  Per department needs.
