Purpose & Scope: This key role is responsible for procuring raw materials, goods, and services for a multi-site manufacturing company, ensuring the lowest cost, best quality, and shortest lead times possible.

Essential Duties May Include:

• Identifying and establishing relationships with suppliers/vendors and negotiating contracts and terms at the best price, quality, and service
• Working closely with each facility to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained and product is available for upcoming projects
• Placing and entering all orders for raw materials, components, and equipment
• Monitoring and managing delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt
• Collaborating with quality control teams to verify purchased items meet the standards and specifications promised by the vendor
• Actively seeking ways to reduce costs without compromising quality or service
• Staying informed of market trends, supplier capabilities, and new technologies which could impact the company's purchasing decisions
• Working closely with other departments (production, finance, logistics) to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in purchasing/procurement for plastic injection molding
• Understanding of industry specific material requirements
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and part of a team
• Highly motivated and possess the ability to work well under deadlines
• Strong and professional communication skills (written and verbal)

Physical Demands of position:

• The ability to manage a number of projects at one time with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.
• Frequent sitting / standing
