    As an Employment Counselor, you will provide participants with Employment Services on behalf of BHSN.

    What your day might look like:

    • Performs all of ACCES-VR Pre-Employment Transition and Core Rehabilitation services, including but not limited to pre-employment activities, job development, obtaining and maintaining employment support.
    • Assist with resume writing, job searches, interviewing skills, career exploration and any employment related support benefitting participants.
    • Provides engaging interventions for individual recipients, both at the program site and/or within the community setting, including employment sites and schools, meeting several times per week, unless otherwise directed.
    • Coordinates and collaborates with rehabilitation/clinical team as needed to promote positive employment and overall health outcomes for the participant;
    • Maintains program specific productivity as per agency and employment department expectations, including achieving KPI performance targets as defined by the program.

    Your skills and qualifications:

    • BA in related Human Services field preferred or 2 years employment in mental health, employment or rehabilitation field preferred
    • Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to BHSN insurance and have reliable transportation
    • 1 year experience providing employment and/or rehabilitative services strongly preferred
