Energy Dispatch Director jobs in Dallas, TX

Energy Dispatch Director directs the real-time operations of energy dispatch centers. Responsible for ongoing transmission and distribution of energy. Being an Energy Dispatch Director aware of generation expectations and is responsible for minimizing risk and maximizing efficiency and economy. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Energy Dispatch Director demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Typically reports to a top management. The Energy Dispatch Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Energy Dispatch Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Position Overview

    Start helping us achieve Our Vision of revolutionizing transportation and logistics within the liquid bulk industry through our national scale, advanced technology and an uncompromising commitment to be the employer of choice. We currently have an excellent opportunity for a KAG Energy Scheduling/Dispatch Intern who will begin working with us during the summer with potential to stay on in the fall/winter.

    Essential Functions

    • Desk Support - learning our general support to learn more about the business.
    • Answering phones - speaking with drivers, customers and other dispatchers.
    • Learning about our inventory gathering processes.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must be currently enrolled in college pursuing an undergraduate degree, and entering Junior or Senior year. Degree in supply chain management, business administration or related preferred.
    • Must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.
    • Must be able to work full time hours onsite during the full internship. This position is located in Dallas, TX.
    • Must be a full-time student pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experienced in Microsoft application.
    • Experienced and proficient with Google web-based office applications.
    • Ability to work well within a team and independently.
