Energy Dispatcher jobs in Norfolk, VA

Easton Coach Company, with a new location in Norfolk, VA provides transportation to senior citizens, persons with disabilities, individuals with special needs and other assigned passengers. We are currently seeking dispatchers for our team!

Job Responsibilities:

• Operates hotline, answering telephones, taking and relaying messages and clearly
• Acts as point of contact for drivers operating live trips, responding to driver requests for assistance, taking detailed messages concerning accidents, incidents other emergency situations and vehicle malfunctions and failures and directing these reports to appropriate contacts
• Maintains detailed, accurate and comprehensible log of all incoming and outgoing communications
• Responsible for influencing positive employee morale and quality customer service
• Distributes keys to drivers while assessing their fitness for duty and compliance with company polices

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Drivers License
• Pervious dispatch experience preferred
• Previous Customer Service experience preferred
• Must Pass a DOT Physical and Drug Test
• Experience with Trapeze software preferred
• Knowledge of service area a plus
• Stress-tolerant nature necessary to consistently, calmly and effectively responding to demanding, crisis and emergent situations while maintaining self control and composure
• Flexibility and adaptability to change and considerable variability in both the nature and volume of work
• Effective and appropriate communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Experience:

• Dispatching: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CDL with Passenger Endorsement (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Norfolk, VA 23504: Relocate before starting work (Required)
