The Deputy Laboratory Director for Management and Operations is the senior manager responsible for management and operation of INL. This executive is charged with stewardship of the laboratory's operational integrity, ensuring excellence in safety, security and mission execution.
The Deputy Director for Management and Operations champions INL's strategic imperatives to advance the laboratory's mission and is tasked with establishing and upholding the highest standards of operational conduct. As the Chief Operations Officer, this individual is the lab's operational leader, representing INL's performance in matters of management, operations, facilities and infrastructure to the Department of Energy Idaho Operations Office and the DOE Office of Nuclear Energy.
This senior leader must exhibit exceptional leadership, the ability to inspire change, and the agility to communicate and actualize the laboratory's strategic vision internally and to various external stakeholders. This senior leader is integral to operational and emergency response activities, particularly in domains involving occupational, radiological and nuclear risks.
