  • SUMMARY:   This position will be responsible for the development of SNGE’s marketing strategy and organizational strategic planning process. The Director of Marketing will manage marketing activities that promote and expand brand awareness of SNGE. The position will also be responsible for a variety of communications with internal and external sources including print publications, web, e-news and other digital communications. This position will be the face of SNGE’s media and public relations efforts.  Responsible for developing Marketing Department roles, functions and qualifications. The ultimate objective of this position is to help advance the Seminole Nation by delivering value and signature moments every day. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Creates and supports a work environment/culture focused on building high-trust relationships by extending support and respect to all.
    • This position will create and lead an atmosphere of superior customer service, entertainment, and professionalism. 
    • Develops and implements promotions and events designed to increase Player's Club membership and revenue for the casino.
    • Develop and implement an integrated strategic marketing and communications plan to advance SNGE’s brand identity.
    • Create marketing/public relations strategy that will allow SNGE to develop and enhance relationships with targeted patrons, vendors, suppliers, and media resources.
    • Extensive successful writing and editing experience in a variety of print and digital communications media.
    • Understanding and willingness to engage in new media technologies to drive positive customer outreach and experience.
    • Experience with all phases of design services related to various publication formats and documents.
    • Ability to maintain SNGE website, publications, logos, and other related items.
    • Coordinate, negotiate, execute, and oversee vendor activities in relation to in relation to all marketing services. 
    • Experienced in and strong understanding of gaming or related consumer focused industry concepts, practices, and standards.
    • Ability to develop and execute long term strategy for marketing and player development.
    • Able to adhere to strict deadlines for internal and external regulatory review.
    • Ability to learn and be competent within casino management’s system software to properly create and perform promotions and events within that system.
    • Develop and work within departmental budget for three independent properties.
    • Strong adherence to gaming compliance, policy, and procedure as it applies to marketing.
    • Ability to perform segmentation and analysis of customer databases.
    • Must be able to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
    • Responsible for handling escalated customer issues regarding promotions.
    • Prepare and maintain any required documentation for marketing.
    • Develop and implement an internet and social media strategy for customer development and outreach.
    • Show extensive skill in Public Relations, written communication, digital content development, market research, Microsoft software suite of products, and creative services.
    • Present casino information in a helpful and friendly manner to casino guests.  This information includes but is not limited to Players Club, casino amenities, promotions, and events.
    • Sustain acceptable performance as set by management guidelines.
    • Prepare ROI analysis of the effectiveness of all marketing efforts.
    • Recommend and implement changes to Players-Club tier system. 
    • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned by management.
    • Design and or approve all casino promotions, supporting collateral & their respective GAR.

     

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION: A college degree (non-technical discipline) or multi-craft skills acquired through extensive on-the-job training or apprenticeship programs, or in-depth industry and job specific technical skills acquired through a combination of formal instruction and on-the-job training with five (5) to eight (8) years of similar or related experience. 

    MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Has supervisory/managerial responsibility for a large group of employees (generally more than 15) or more than one group of employees with diversified functions or supervises functions with dissimilar outcomes, which require coordinating work with other units. Has managerial responsibility for one or more major departments of the organization with responsibility for working closely with top leadership.

    PROBLEM SOLVING: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others.  Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service. Must have excellent problem-solving abilities and be able to deal with stressful situations in a professional manner.  Must be a Team Player.  Must be a detail oriented, organized individual with the ability to multi-task and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.  Displays strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to handle conflict situations.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work requires moderate physical exertion such as long periods of standing, repetitively lifting lightweight objects with frequent bending or stooping, recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. Occasionally lifts heavy objects over 50 pounds.

    WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT: The job is performed indoors with frequent exposure to loud noises and fumes (e.g., cigarette smoke)
