SMG seeks a local Safety Administrator/Advisor– Construction in Liberty, NC.

The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment.

 Overview of Job Responsibilities

• Ability to present PowerPoint orientations 
• Conduct New hire orientations 
• Prepare employee/badge paperwork 
• Incident reporting/documentation 
• Maintain and organize safety documents 
• Provides incident management and support
• Possible site review when needed

Requirements

• Two - Three plus years of construction safety experience
• A degree in safety or related fields is preferred but not required
• OSHA 30 
• OSHA 510
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

Physical Demands of the job may include

• Moving about long distances
• Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
• Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
• Working in extreme weather
• Being exposed to loud noises
• Wearing personal protective gear correctly
