Job Description: Site Safety Manager
Atticus Safety Consulting, LLC, a leading provider of occupational safety consulting services, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Consultant to join our team in Chesterfield, Virginia. As a Safety Consultant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the implementation and maintenance of effective safety measures within our client projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective actions, and implement follow-up assessments.
- Plan, implement, and conduct safety training programs to educate employees and contractors on best practices and safety protocols.
- Provide guidance on safety-related matters to the project management team, ensuring project sites fulfill industry, local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, and contract documents.
- Provide technical support to project managers, assisting with safety-related queries, assessments, and recommendations.
- Report the status of projects to the project team and client, providing regular updates and addressing any safety concerns or issues.
- Participate in team meetings and maintain regular on-site project presence to monitor safety practices and address potential hazards.
**Qualifications:**
-A previous experience in safety/occupational management, 5 years experience preferred.
-OSHA 500 certification
-Majority of experience in site development or similar work.
-CHST preferred.
- Strong knowledge of industry safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams, clients, and employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in conducting safety audits, inspections, and delivering safety training programs.
**Contract Details:**
- This position is a 3 month contract with a possible permanent position after.
- The expected work schedule is 40 hours per week, with flexibility.
- The job location is Chesterfield, Virginia.
