Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Talentry is looking for an EH&S Specialist who can act
as the Lab Safety Officer (LSO) for our facility as well. This role will perform
PPE and MSDS documentation, ensure stock and supply levels, train on safety and
proper usage, maintain service contracts and monitor warrantees, keep up
chemical and equipment inventory lists, etc.
This person will maintain a BSL2 level environment in a safe
and effective fashion, and have secondary responsibilities handling biological specimens,
prepare reagents, and assist in the lab.
Requirements:
BS in Biology, Chemistry, or similar, and 5 years of
experience.
Experience with Biohazard safety in a BSL2 lab environment.
Excellent communication and documentation experience.
Experience with GLP and FDA regulations.
