Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a talented, experienced, Sr Director with a focus on US Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Environmental Management oversight for employment for our West Region Environment Federal Remediation Practice. This position is located in Piketon, OH, supporting DOE work locations at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant site. Ability to travel on occasion to Lexington, KY and Paducah, KY will be required.

The main duties include organizing various programs and activities to improve company efficiencies, building long-term goals for company projects, and developing program and project budgets.
Primary responsibilities and key characteristics of the role also include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing a portfolio of large-scale projects totaling $50 M annually
Actively responsible for the planning, safe execution, and delivery of a portfolio of RCM projects at As Sold or better financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Providing support to Project Managers (PM) by:
Fully understanding applicable contracts
Leading Project Reviews
Conducting Site Visits
Engaging Project Team at critical milestones
Change Management and dispute resolution
Engaging Client and Project Stakeholders
Communicating to AECOM Business Line (BL) Leadership
Early identification of change conditions through financial tracking resulting in implementing mitigation plans if applicable, engaging delivery staff
This opportunity is best suited for a person with a natural drive, ability to communicate with various levels of stakeholders, both internally and externally, someone who enjoys speaking with clients and building relationships, a team player who understands environmental consulting, in particular remediation construction management, interest in sales, and has a proven track record in growing accounts by selling professional services.
You will work in a supportive environment under the direction of the US DOE site lead with various responsibilities, including the following:

Oversees project invoicing and cash flow management
Manages and directs a large group of professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental, waste disposal, and Stabilization and Deactivation (S&D) projects for DOE EM
Project experience includes Environmental Remediation, S&D, demolition, and infrastructure projects
Leads teams by utilizing advanced scientific principles, theories, and practices
Conducts reviews and provides staff feedback for continued improvement
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field
Extensive experience in project and program management in environmental remediation or demonstrated equivalency or experience and/or education including 6 years of leadership.
US Citizen
Valid Driver’s License, Subject to Motor Vehicle Records check
Ability to receive and maintain a DOE security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Ideally 20 years of federal remediation experience
15 years of experience managing at risk projects with evidence of majority being $20 M scale projects
Experience leading portfolio of remediation projects with a GR per year of $50M or more
Experience with multiple types of contracts – Fixed-Price, Fixed Unit Rates, Cost-Reimbursable, Performance-Based, Cost-Plus Award Fee.
Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery.
US Government focus with Federal remediation experience in the US
Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations
Respected leader in DOE Environmental Management Complex.
Broad knowledge of and experience in environmental remediation work in DOE Office of Environmental Management.
Demonstrated success at building relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Excellent communicator and team player
PE or PG license in respective state/states
PMP certification
MBA

Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Ohio locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $270,000.
