Environmental Engineer identifies, assesses and resolves problems concerning the environment. Being an Environmental Engineer performs experiments and reports findings on environmental consequences of equipment, tools, and procedures. Ensures the organization's conformance to federal, state, and local environmental legislation. Additionally, Environmental Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Environmental Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Hazardous Waste Technician

  • Position Description: Provide hazardous and/or nonhazardous waste and recyclable materials management services to iSi customers in accordance with all applicable regulations and in a manner that will meet facility required production rates. Position Responsibilities: Stage and inventory waste containers throughout the facility
    Ensure the integrity of waste containers
    Inspect waste containers for proper labeling and regulatory compliance
    Move full waste containers or those that have reached the regulatory time limit
    Manage waste in centralized storage area by segregating by waste type, emptying containers into a roll-off, and compacting waste in roll-off
    Prepare containers for off-site shipment
    Prepare and clean tanks
    Participate in spill response
    Respond to trouble calls
    Run specified route driving a scooter or other industrial truck
    Complete waste logs
    Perform decontamination activities, such as cleaning the respirator
    Ensure proper functioning of, clean, and maintain PPE
    Comply with safety policies and procedures
    Operate forklift safely and effectively
    Operate power tools, lifts, and other equipment safely
    Operate motor vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable regulations
    Provide customer service to client representatives
    Provide additional support as needed
