Environmental Engineer identifies, assesses and resolves problems concerning the environment. May also design, install, operate and maintain measuring apparatus to determine the level of pollutants involving air, land, and water. Being an Environmental Engineer performs experiments and reports findings on environmental consequences of equipment, tools, and procedures. Ensures the organization's conformance to federal, state, and local environmental legislation. Additionally, Environmental Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Environmental Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. SSHO - Construction SafetyEnvironmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. is looking for an EHS professional for a construction project in the federal domain near Worcester, MA. We are looking for construction safety professionals with at least 5 years of continuous construction safety experience who are passionate about the safety and health of employees, an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing, have good computer skills, and is self-directed.
In addition, we are looking for someone who can fulfill the following criteria:- Provide EHS support to the management team.
- Coordinate with the facility management team on any needed training, daily inspections, reporting, and other EHS activities as directed.
- Complete regular, standardized reports detailing project safety status and report to management.
- Maintain safety logs – file and track all site safety reports, injuries, and illnesses.
- Assist in external agency interactions (OSHA Inspectors, OSHA Log Management) as appropriate.
Qualifications:- 10 years continuous safety management experience (not more than 3-4 month gap between projects).
- 30-hr OSHA construction card (per USACE EM385-1-1) with applicable training each year.
- Current First Aid/CPR certificate.
