Performs environmental compliance audits and risk assessments. Being an Environmental Engineering Technician requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be an Environmental Engineering Technician typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. USA Environmental is seeking a UXO Technician I for its long-term project at Ft. Johnson in Louisiana (Formerly known as Ft. Polk.). This project site schedule requires two (2) weeks onsite; and two (2) weeks offsite. The work schedule is 6/10's.
**This is a long-term project; therefore a minimum of a one-year commitment is preferred**
Next mobilization date is May 19, 2024 and first day of work is on May 20, 2024. The demobilization date will be June 2, 2024. Subsequent mobilization and demobilization dates will be scheduled on a consistent bi-weekly basis.
Qualifications, Training, and Experience: The following minimum qualifications, training and experience requirements must be met or exceeded to qualify for assignment to this position:
- U.S. Citizen unless exception approved by the U.S. Government;
- Valid state driver’s license;
- Ability to handle in a safe manner the vehicle assigned to drive within and in the vicinity of the site;
- Graduate of a military EOD School of the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, or Australia, or Graduate of a UXO-TI Course or the EOD assistant’s course;
- On-the-job training including, but not limited to familiarity with the process, procedures, and equipment (e.g., geophysical) used for conducting MEC-related activities;
- Never been removed from a MEC assignment for personnel reliability reasons or unsatisfactory performance of duties, substantiated by official documentation
