    Job Summary

    Langan is seeking a Helpdesk Technician to join its collaborative Design Technologies team in Parsippany, NJ. This individual will serve a key function in providing support to a multidisciplinary employee base of technical experts for AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other engineering technologies. In this role, you will have the opportunity to serve as the initial point of contact to our user community as part of a national team.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide front line technical support for AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other engineering technologies, with a focus on customer service and responsiveness;
    • Trouble shoot technical issues relating to AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other engineering technologies;
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of training and sample materials;
    • Collaborate with IT team to ensure AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other engineering software are up-to-date and running smoothly;
    • Work closely with the CAD Department professionals to guide others and promote the use of various standards, workflows, and engineering technologies to all Langan’s core disciplines;
    • Participate in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other engineering software testing and evaluation;
    • Provide drafting support on an as-needed basis; and
    • Perform other duties as requested.

    Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree in computer aided drafting, engineering technology or related field preferred;
    • 3 years’ experience with AutoCAD drafting and production;
    • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software issues and work independently and in a team environment;
    • Willingness to learn new technologies and related software such as Civil 3D, Revit, Carlson, Navisworks, etc.;
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with vendors and clients;
    • Previous technology support experience a plus;
    • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
    • Ability to periodically work on special projects after hours and weekends; and
    • Ability to travel between Langan’s offices with a valid driver’s license in good standing.
