Join our team! Impact Environmental is a Long Island/NJ based environmental consulting firm with 35 years of success. We are in search of a Field Technician with 2 years of environmental experience to join our Lyndhurst, NJ team. 

Position Expectations: Executes, supervises, and documents field aspects of environmental monitoring, compliance inspections, site assessment, remediation, and construction activities, including:

• • Perform groundwater sampling and monitoring of various media and oversight and of environmental work.
  • Record data, prepares reports, an provides analysis of findings.
  • Ensure adherence to contract specifications.
  • Adaptability and willingness to adjust to client needs.
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment, consistency and attention to detail.
  • Team oriented, safety conscious, individual with good communication skills, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
  • Field work year-round (primarily NYC and the 5 boroughs)

 Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• • Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, Environmental Science or a related disciple a plus.
  • Minimum of 1-4 years of related fieldwork experience (e.g., soil, soil vapor, groundwater sampling, construction oversight and/or subcontractor oversight).
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and around construction sites.
  • Valid OSHA 40 hour (HAZWOPER) and/or OSHA 10/30 hour (Construction Safety) certifications a plus.
  • Able to pass a background, motor vehicle, and drug screen.
