S&ME is looking for a motivated and passionate Environmental Professional to join our Environmental team in Greensboro, NC. Are you ready to contribute your education and knowledge to meaningful projects? Join us at S&ME!

As an Environmental Professional, you'll be involved with environmental projects and provide client-focused customer service in the public sector, manufacturing, energy, and real-estate markets. You'll perform environmental site assessments, remedial investigations, remedial design, environmental permitting and compliance, data management, and reporting. This position will include a mix of both field and office work associated with environmental evaluations. You'll interact with clients, contractors, regulators, local government officials, and the public to help our clients complete their projects while adhering to environmental regulations and sustainable business goals.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Perform environmental field work including Phase I/II ESAs, media sampling, construction observations, brownfield inventory, industrial hygiene, and/or natural resources fieldwork
• Support project team with day-to-day project execution tasks
• Participate in the conceptual design and layout of projects
• Travel to project locations and attend client meetings
• Compile, interpret, and report data to meet project quality assurance requirements under Federal state, and/or client programs
• Prepare technical reports and visual data presentations, including maps, cross sections, and data tabulations

What You Bring:

• You have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology or related field.
• You have 5 to 8 years of environmental consulting experience.
• You have knowledge of environmental sampling and testing methods, as well as federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• You have experience interacting with regulatory agencies/representatives.
• You have OSHA 1910.120 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training.
• You are able to travel and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
