CCI is currently seeking a Director of Preconstruction & Estimating to lead our overall preconstruction and estimating processes. This includes developing comprehensive deliverables such as preliminary and conceptual budgets, competitive bids, negotiated proposals, and cost estimates. This role requires effective communication with leadership to manage the expectations and performance of the preconstruction team. Occasional travel is required to meet with clients, visit project sites, or attend industry events.

Essential Functions:

The Director of Preconstruction is responsible for overseeing project teams to ensure successful execution and completion of the preconstruction process which includes:

• Planning and leading preconstruction strategies on a project-by-project basis.
• Overseeing the review, development, and accuracy of bids.
• Ensure complete and timely preconstruction presentations to clients.
• Assisting in developing and implementing preconstruction products, systems, and procedures.
• Aligning the team with changes in market conditions and workload.
• Mentor and review preliminary preconstruction schedules.
• Manage relationships with key clients and design team contacts during the preconstruction phase.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop accurate plans and specifications for projects.
• Participate in weekly developer/client meetings.
• Manage and collaborate with the estimating team.
• Review and participate in developing project budgets and schedules.
• Identify and implement opportunities for professional development within the team.
• Complete performance appraisals of direct reports periodically as required by company policy and individual performance.

Qualifications: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in leading and managing a commercial/industrial preconstruction and estimating team. Minimum 10-15 years of experience in estimating/preconstruction management. Knowledge of Federal, State, and NFPA building code requirements. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client and team relationships. In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial construction processes, market conditions, and industry standards. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Willingness to travel as required.
