Job Description

• Provide expert estimating services for hyperscale data center infrastructure (civil/power/water/sewer) from RFP. through to construction completion, managing key relationships with the client, general contractor, and project team.
• Develop Project Capital Estimates using a bottoms-up approach.
• Lead the training of templates & tools for the general contractor to ensure submissions are compliant for commercial analysis.
• Lead the commercial review of the competitive bid process for major trades.
• Support the project delivery team with post-contract cost analysis & change order reviews.
• Benchmarking integration to ensure accurate data capture.
• Perform material take-offs and provide independent estimates at different stages of design as needed.
• Provide support to validate the changed orders cost estimate submitted by contractors.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in cost estimating.
• Provide support to validate the invoices against contract and initial estimate.
• Monitor project costs and identify potential cost overruns.
• Prepare and present cost reports to project stakeholders
• Review and analyze cost estimates submitted by contractors.
• Work with RPMs and contractors to develop cost-effective construction solutions.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of demonstrated estimating experience including time spent in mission critical, data center, industrial or life science sectors. 
• Previous work experience with a General Contractor in the US
• Demonstrated experience of developing estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Confident reviewing GC Subcontractor and GC packages
• College degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical field, and/or field-related experience is strongly preferred
• Excellent communicator and thrives in a client facing role.
• Technical knowledge of construction industry matters, such as value management and value engineering.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to adapt messaging to suit the recipients.
