We are searching for an Estimator to join our team of highly experienced customer service experts. The Estimator will review structural plans to identify anchor bolts, rebar and other concrete related projects to help our valued customers complete their projects. This position is instrumental in assisting the Sales Department maximize Hartmann’s ability to provide our customers with the quality products they require. Excellent communication skills and strong mathematical ability are necessary for this role. Previous experience in Industrial, Commercial or Residential construction is a plus. Salary is dependent upon experience and not as listed directly on Indeed.

Responsibilities

• Review customer provided plans to perform material take offs for anchor bolts, rebar and other concrete related products.

• Determine accurate quantities of material and prepare quotes to submit to customers.

• Verify that all material and project specifications are met.

• Communicate with both customers and vendors to ensure correct material is purchased.

• Procure project and special order items as needed with suppliers.

• Engage with customers via personal interaction, phone calls, emails and text.

• Promote and upsell product features, benefits and warranties to customers.

• Grow and possess technical product knowledge in order to provide solutions to customer projects and issues.

• Communicate new products, updates, information and special offerings to both current and potential customers.

• Attend and conduct regular training sessions with vendors to develop and stay current on product data, knowledge and industry trends.

• Grow and develop knowledge regarding concrete practices, rebar fabrication, concrete products, anchor bolts, consumable products and concrete forming systems.

• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills through programs and training.

• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.

• Follow all company safety policies, rules and regulations.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for each job.

• Must be able to work overtime, either planned or unplanned as business requires.

• Operate in a team oriented and customer driven environment.

• Perform other tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Strong outgoing personality and the ability to effectively communicate with others.

• Experience in PlanSwift, aSa or other estimating programs a plus.

• Previous estimating experience in the Residential, Commercial or Industrial construction fields a plus.

• Ability to forge and cultivate professional relationships.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and rapidly adapt to change.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,656.39 - $57,392.64 per year
