Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Manager oversees and promotes the organization's global ethics and compliance function. Implements programs to assess and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks and establish high ethical standards of conduct for the organization. Being an Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Manager communicates the organization's ethical standards, policies, and regulations. Delivers employee training programs that raise awareness about ethics-related topics such as Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Conflicts of Interest, and others. Additionally, Ethics & Compliance Business Unit Manager conducts compliance monitoring, investigations, and remediations of any non-compliant actions. Manages the administration of confidential reporting systems or helplines for employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to disclose violations of the organization's ethical standards, violations of law, or policies without fear of retaliation. This is a multifaceted role in a small business/team environment. The Business manager will be responsible for personnel management and setting financial goals with the opportunity to develop the position as the company grows. The Business manager will work closely with the company owner to train and transition responsibilities over a year. Stone Designs, Inc. is a sculpture studio and outdoor art gallery located on a historic quarry in Downeast Maine. Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job and overseeing staff, the manager would regularly be exposed to moving mechanical parts, heights, fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and loud noises. The ability to jump in and help lift heavy weight of 75 lb is sometimes required. We are located in Downeast Maine; the ability to live in rural communities with limited access to large cities must be considered before applying.
