Job Summary:
Operate hydraulic rough terrain cranes with a capacity of under 80 tons. As a crane operator you will be responsible for lifting and moving materials, machines, or products in many directions.
Key Responsibilities:

Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacity to prevent overload.

Move levers, depress foot pedals, or turn dials to operate cranes, or other moving equipment for lifting, moving, or placing loads.

Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions or damage.

Direct helpers engaged in placing blocking or outrigging under canes.

Maintain material moving equipment in good working condition.

Ensure loads are secured correctly before moving.

Review daily work or delivery schedules to determine orders, sequences of deliveries, or special loading instructions.

Other duties as assigned.
Education:

Must have a NCCCO Certification
Experience:

Previous experience is preferred

Work Location and Travel:

Location is at 1171 Grill Road, Van Wert, OH 45891

This position requires daily travel to various client worksites mostly within the State of Florida. 15% travel outside of Florida but within the United States. Frequent overnight travel.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary (Monday – Sunday with some overnight work) and overtime is frequently required.

The working environment is often in harsh elements (hot / humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.) Industrial environments often have exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment, and other safety-sensitive hazards / risks. Must always be alert and able to safely perform the essential duties of the job without risking harm to oneself or others.

Physical Requirements:
Talk/Hear: Must be able to effectively to receive instructions, coordinate with ground personnel, and ensure safe and accurate crane operations.
Stand/Sit: Typically needs to sit to operate the crane controls comfortably and stand to inspect the equipment, communicate with team members, or address operational issues.
Walk: May be required to walk to inspect the crane, communicate with crew members, and move between different work areas or equipment.
Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Frequently required to use hands and fingers to operate the crane controls, adjust settings, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
Climb: Often required to climb to access the crane’s cab for operation or perform maintenance and inspections on elevated components.
Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl: Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch to perform maintenance, inspect lower parts of the crane, or access confined areas for repairs.
See: Must have excellent vision to monitor crane movements, assess load positioning, and ensure safe and precise operations.
Carry, weight, Lift: Must have sufficient strength to transport and manage tools, equipment, or personal protective gear necessary for their duties.
Exposure to work: Works primarily in outdoor environments such as construction sites or industrial facilities where exposure to noise, vibration, and varying weather conditions is common. Must adhere to strict safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear.
