Compensation:$58,000-$62,000/year, commensurate with experience and qualifications

RESPONSIBLE TO: BCFR Board of Directors
Mission: Our organization's mission is to provide community education and non-judgmental, confidential crisis intervention, advocacy, support, and resources to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and housing insecurity due to violence.
SUMMARY STATEMENT: At the direction of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director should propose the major thrust and direction of BCFR in support of the organization’s mission. Within the framework of these long term goals, the director should lead the agency’s programs to achieve shorter term goals on monthly, quarterly, yearly, and multi-year bases. In formulating these objectives, the executive director should insure that they reflect the needs of the client groups and that they will be fully supported by the Board of Directors and staff.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Lead, supervise, evaluate, and provide clearly defined performance expectations for BCFR staff.
2. Plan and coordinate strategic direction of BCFR with the Board of Directors.
3. Develop, implement, and monitor long range planning, annual budget and fund-development plans, in conjunction with the Board of Directors.
4. Seek potential grants, prepare grant applications, and complete all grant reports.
5. Serve as BCFR liaison to local, state, regional and national organizations committed to ending intimate partner violence, child abuse, and housing insecurity due to violence.
6. Monitor and respond to community problems or concerns of relevance to BCFR.
7. Foster relationships between BCFR supporting agencies and individuals.
8. Make all decisions regarding the hiring and discharge of staff.
9. Provide opportunities for training and development to enable staff to meet high performance standards regularly.
10. Administer the day-to-day activities of the agency, its programs, staff, and relationships.
11. Provide direct client advocacy, including referrals.
12. Review and evaluate the results of program operations.
13. Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked office space.
14. Assist accountant with bookkeeping duties, including budget preparations, managing financial and vendor accounts, preparing and running bank deposits, processing and paying invoices, reviewing financial statements and reports for accuracy, and reconciling bank accounts monthly.
15. Coordinate materials for board and staff meetings, training sessions, fundraisers and other activities of the organization.
16. Other duties as requested.
