Summary: The Expeditor’s primary role is to stand at the pass during service and act as the middle person between the service staff and the cooks on the line. The expo streamlines the flow of orders, helping to ensure dishes go out to tables on time and at the standard expected by the restaurant’s guests.

Coordination:
· Act as a liaison between the kitchen staff and servers, ensuring that orders are prepared and delivered in the correct sequence and without unnecessary delays.
· Ensure the menu items are plated correctly for a clean presentation.
· Coordinating servers to deliver food to the guests.
· Maintaining the influx of customer orders with accuracy and timeliness.
Quality Control:
· Food expeditors inspect dishes before they leave the front line to ensure they meet the restaurant's quality standards, including presentation, temperature, and completeness.
· The expeditor will finish plating menu items with garnishes, wiping the rim of plates for cleanliness.
Timing:
· They manage the timing of food orders to ensure that multiple dishes for the same table are ready to be served together, avoiding discrepancies in meal delivery.
Communication:
· Expeditors communicate any special requests, allergies, or modifications from customers to the kitchen staff, ensuring that orders are prepared accurately.
Problem Solving:
· In case of kitchen mistakes or delays, expeditors work quickly to resolve issues and minimize the impact on customer satisfaction.

Education and/or Experience:
