Extrusion Operator sets up and operates an extrusion machine in accordance with established procedures, guidelines, and customer requirements. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Extrusion Operator adjusts and cleans machines. Documents work performed as required. Additionally, Extrusion Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. The Extrusion Operator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position is: $24.20 to $40.00Shifts Available and Hours:Monday-Friday with availability on:
2nd (2:30pm - 11:00pm)
3rd shift (10:30pm - 7:00am)
Job Summary:Maintenance Mechanics will repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment. Equipment to include,hydraulic pumps, and cylinders, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and aluminum extrusion production machines and equipment.
Required Education/Experience:- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years maintenance manufacturing experience including heavy equipment repair.
- Must have Minimum of 3 years in troubleshooting of complex manufacturing machinery including hydraulics, pneumatic, PLC and ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:- Reads and interprets hydraulic, schematic, basic electric, electronic and OHM laws.
- Trade school certification or Associates degree preferred
- Knowledge of AC & DC drives.
- Basic knowledge of routine maintenance on hydraulic systems such as Oil Gear, Rex Roth, Racine, Vickers, etc.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical, including advanced electrical (three phase 460 volt and higher) design, sizing of components and installations, etc.
Job Responsibilities:- Repairs and replaces defective parts, lubricates, and cleans parts.
- Installs and assists with new and replacement equipment.
- Troubleshoot basic Hydraulics, PLC, and Electrical repairs on machinery.
- Performs preventative maintenance with regular inspections.
- Enter required work orders when deficiencies are found that need attention.
- Expected tolearn new technology in the following areas: PLC/Electrical systems, Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems, Combustion's systems, Crane/Mobile equipment systems.
