Facilities Director jobs in Waterbury, CT
Facilities Director manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Director monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Director directs training of managers, supervisors, and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Facilities Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. We have several on-line programs currently being used by our staff:
you can request time off or request to pick up a shift. You can also send email/text notification to request coverage of an open shift. for you to complete in the allotted time at your own pace. also where you pick up your check.The successful candidate must:
- be a Certified Nurse Aide and registered in accordance with laws of this state.
- be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
- have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
- be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
