Estimates costs related to layout design, including equipment and materials, labor, etc. and monitors the construction process. Being a Facilities Engineer researches production/processing equipment or fixtures for purchase and gathers data relating to their ability to meet organizational needs. Ensures that established efficiency and safety targets are met. Additionally, Facilities Engineer typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Abide by Kamtek policies and procedures as described in the most current version of theEmployee Handbook.c. Open Door Policy – Solves issues with two-way, open and friendly communication.d. 5S – Maintains and promotes good housekeeping by following the philosophy “Everythinghas a place. Everything in its place”.e. Safety First - Obey the plant’s safety rules and procedures by wearing PPE at all times andimmediately addressing all safety concerns. Promotes an environment where zero injuriesare the expected standard.f. Promote MAFACT benchmarks to achieve World Class Manufacturing.g. Core values – Treat all team members equally, fairly, with dignity and respect withoutfavoritism in accordance with company values.h. Conduct all activities in a professional manner and positive attitude with an emphasis onpersonal responsibility.4) Perform engineering assessments of existing infrastructure5) Assist maintenance personnel with technical support6) Oversee the design and implementation of buildings and infrastructure7) Specify all new infrastructure : buildings and equipment8) Make recommendations for improved operation, maintenance, and reliability9) Ensure compliance with corporate regulation, building codes, NFPA, OSHA, NEC,ASHRAE, etc..10) Develop and maintain drawings, specifications, O&M documents, and other engineeringdocuments11) Promotes good housekeeping (5S)12) Perform other duties as required.POSITION REQUIREMENTSSKILL (Ability to do the job) Experience with AutoCAD or other drafting software. Experience reading construction drawings, P&IDs, technical illustrations Knowledge of the building process and construction principles. Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes. Good verbal and written communication skills. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
