Description

• Perform routine maintenance of all UCFS buildings and, equipment including painting and repairs of interior and exterior, recycling, and trash removal.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks on all required systems as required by licensing or code such as monitoring of heating and A/C system, hot water temperature checks, fire and storm security, checking of emergency lights, fire doors, smoke detectors heat sensors, exit signs, and fire extinguishers.
• Maintain grounds of UCFS owned properties and have the knowledge/ability to use equipment necessary to perform such work.
• Perform minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs as instructed.
• Serve as liaison with contractors when on site and report to Coordinator for direction.
• Perform snow removal during regular and after hours as needed with the ability to use snow removal equipment (shovels, snow blower, and truck with snow plow) to ensure safe evacuation route areas are available if necessary.
• Coordinate deliveries and set up for meetings and activities events as needed.

Requirements

• High School/Technical Trade School diploma, with a minimum of 1-year of experience and/or training in janitorial, trades, or service industry.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine memos and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively with clients, vendors, or employees of the organization.
• Knowledge of ordinary maintenance tools.
• Experience with mechanical repairing and basic understanding of heating system operation.
• Must have thorough understanding of fire detection operation and equipment.
