Being a Facilities Planner prepares and reviews designs, layout plans, specifications, and standards that comply with building regulations, industry best practices, and organizational requirements. Estimates costs for labor, materials, and services. Additionally, Facilities Planner generates, monitors, and updates project plans and timelines with task details, deliverables, and status updates. Coordinates construction and installation processes and expedites delivery of materials required by projects. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Facilities Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Maintenance planner to work with our client to develop plans and schedules to safely and efficiently decommission and prepare the refinery for dismantlement.
Must be a self-starter who can perform the required planning responsibilities with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities :
Walkout equipment and develop LTT plans for each piece of equipment from P&ID’s
Walkout equipment and develop cleaning and disassembly execution plans from equipment and piping drawings
Assemble work plans and input information into SAP
Supervisory duties of on-site maintenance crews
Audits of safety practices being implemented in the field
Skills and Capabilities :
Interface with client personnel, vendors and other contractors to plan execution of work
At least five years of planning and / or field execution experience relative to the petrochemical or related industries
Practical knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) as related to planning and schedule control.
Practical knowledge of common planning and scheduling terms, techniques and tools
Proficient with industry standard planning software including SAP, Primavera® Enterprise and Microsoft® Project
Proficient with common analytical computer software including spreadsheet and database programs
Administrative knowledge of organizational procedures, systems and work processes
Practical understanding of construction techniques, terms, processes and deliverable
Ability to comprehend and apply technical drawings, design documents, specifications and procedures
Practical knowledge of construction equipment and construction processes and limitations
Practical knowledge of refinery process systems and hazards
Practical knowledge of procurement processes and procedures
Physical Requirements : Sitting / Standing / Kneeling Lifting < 50 LBS
Travel Requirements : Not Required
