Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the appearance and cleanliness of assigned HCDE facility. Follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds.
Qualifications:
Special Knowledge/Skills:
* Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures
* Ability to operate cleaning equipment (buffer, stripper, wet & dry vacuum cleaner and carpet shampooer)
* Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies
* Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
* Detail oriented
Experience:
* Two years related experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Maintain facilities in a clean and operable condition.
2. Assist personnel in moving necessary supplies and equipment.
3. Report all needed maintenance and follow through on repair work.
4. Scrub and disinfect toilets and floors, and clean all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
5. Keep all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.
6. Maintain working inventory of supplies.
7. Comply with safety policies and procedures for self and other employees.
8. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
