FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems. Oversees staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. Being a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR tracks work orders and ensures work follows established service and quality standards for completion. Schedules and supervises preventative maintenance, painting, or carpentry projects. Additionally, FACILITIES SUPERVISOR maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws. May coordinate work to be completed by contractors and skilled trades. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • POSITION SUMMARY
    Responsible for overseeing the facilities functions for the agency. Responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of activities relating to the operation and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and vehicle repairs and maintenance. Ensures compliance standards under Federal and State licensing regulations are achieved including ADE requirements. Individual will inspect buildings for potential problems and defects; and be hands-on, when needed.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

    • HSD/GED required. Some college preferred.
    • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in building maintenance or repair work in an institutional workplace such as a school, non-profit organization, or comparable setting is required.
    • Working knowledge of Food Services regulatory requirements are a plus.
    • Working knowledge of building and grounds including the facilities operations, services, and activities of a facilities maintenance program.
    • Understanding of construction methods and practices; tools, materials, methods, and procedures used in building maintenance and repair.
    • Has a basic purchasing methods and practices.
    • Ability to perform basic math to determine materials used and estimate the cost of projects.
    • Must have general knowledge in Building codes, Food Service Regulations, ADE Regulations and Transportation (Federal, State and Local).
    • Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
    • Must have and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License, maintain automobile insurance coverage, and have access to an automobile.
