FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems. Oversees staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. Being a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR tracks work orders and ensures work follows established service and quality standards for completion. Schedules and supervises preventative maintenance, painting, or carpentry projects. Additionally, FACILITIES SUPERVISOR maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws. May coordinate work to be completed by contractors and skilled trades. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The FACILITIES SUPERVISOR supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a FACILITIES SUPERVISOR typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The Facilities Night Manager is responsible for the quality control of general business operations, increasing client satisfaction and working productively with independent contractors. The Facility Night Manager must be able to work independently and with others, in any type or facility including but not limited to; industrial, manufacturing, office, medical, etc. Must be able to exercise good judgement in reporting client concerns to management and seeking the involvement or others in order to best meet clients' needs.
Applicants need to have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and/or equivalent experience in commercial janitorial services industry.
