The Facility Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required. Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools. In addition, Facility Maintenance Technician assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and work flow. Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervior or manager. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician works under moderate supervision. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various systems and equipment within our facilities. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing equipment
-Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropraite personnel and follow safety protocol
-Perform routine cleaning/ disinfecting of specified interior and or exterior amenities.
-Undertake activities such as minor building repairs, painting, drywall repairs, ballast or light bulb replacement, ceiling tile replacement, minor pest control, trash and debris cleanup
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Respond to facility-related emergencies in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including reading schematics and troubleshooting
