The Facility Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required. Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools. In addition, Facility Maintenance Technician assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and work flow. Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervior or manager. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician works under moderate supervision. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Working as a Facility Maintenance Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification. Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs light maintenance duties around the facility. Focusing primarily on scrubber and janitorial equipment maintenance and repairs.
This person will also participate in general cleaning duties from time to time as assigned by the supervisor.
Pay Range $18-$25 DOE
Schedule: Part Time up to 25 hours per week.
Job Duties
· Inspect spaces daily to identify problems with litter, mechanical failure or breakdowns
· Respond to requests for maintenance services
· Change lights
· Perform small electrical and plumbing tasks
· Performs other cleaning duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be mechanically inclined and have basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing work. Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance to contractual obligation required.
