Position Summary:
N3B is seeking a Director, Facility Operations 5 within the Environmental Remediation Program with excellent communication skills, a professional manner, and multi-tasking ability to join N3B's Environmental Remediation team.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include managing and maintaining safe, secure, and compliant work environments at Technical Area 21, enabling efficient and effective mission execution. The Director, Facility Operations 5 position provides management oversight and compliance for programmatic operations within the nuclear facility. The FOD ensures compliant planning and execution of characterization, remediation, D&D, waste management and facility maintenance activities.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
This role will maintain required safety, security and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety, security and quality an integral part of every task; including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related science or technology.) Bachelors and more than 14 to 18 years' experience. Experience should include a minimum of 6 years' of management responsibility. Education Equivalency: 2 years of relevant experience for 1 year of college; the Equivalency can be applied
Experience drafting and editing formal correspondence is required.
Experience working with contract development and execution is required.
Experience implementing the requirements of DOE Order 425.1 to include preparing for and executing readiness processes is highly desired.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements conducive to a normal office environment. Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the discipline. Light work involves lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
