Position Summary:
Center for Family Services is seeking a motivated and compassionate individual for the Individual Family Counselor position for its Oasis / Tranquility Program. The position available is in a growing program that provide a home like setting in the Cape May Court House area for young ladies who have aged out of the foster care system or for young people without the support of family. With the guidance of counselors, the clients will learn to set goals, make responsible choices, and develop a plan for self-sufficient futures. In addition, Oasis / Tranquility provide individual and family counseling to help residents who may be dealing with past or present issues. The Individual Family Counselor is a key member of the program's team and provides case management and individual family counseling to young ladies ages 16 to 20.

Job Type/Status: Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Individual Family Counselor advocates for youth in the program and handles all documentation and reporting requirements. This individual conducts individual and group sessions, completes intakes and discharges, as well as completes documentation, performs specialized activities and functions specific to the program, and meets regularly with supervisor. The Individual Family Counselor is reliable, dependable, creative and organized. This individual has excellent communication skills, provides leadership, acts as a role model, and has life experiences preparing him or her to relate positively to youth

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field
• Two years' experience working with homeless youth and / or youth aging out of foster care providing counseling and case management services
• Excellent driving skills and current driver's license with a driving record of at least three years
• Vehicle with current insurance and registration
